- the general or vocational school leaving examination or final examination grade multiplied by a factor of 2, expressed in points and converted into a grading scale of 2‑5 (50% of the points);
- the general examination grade (50% of the points) in the last 2 years of secondary school:
a)the general or vocational school leaving examination or final examination; we have data on the final grade and the grades in the last 2 years:
Overall grade in the general or vocational school leaving examination or final examination (a) |

Grade in the final year (c) |
Points (a x 2 + b + c) |
Satisfactory (2) | Satisfactory (2) | Satisfactory (2) | 2 x 2 + 2 + 2 = 8 |
Satisfactory (2) | Satisfactory (2) | Good (3) | 2 x 2 + 2 + 3 = 9 |

NOTE: In the following tables, grades are only shown using a number.
b) Diploma: we have information on the grades in the last 2 years; for the overall grades in the third and fourth years, candidates receive the percentage of points indicated for the overall grade (50% of points) and the penultimate and final year combined (50% of points):
Grade in the penultimate year (b) |
Grade in the final year (c) |
Points ((b + c) x 2) |
2 | 2 | (2 + 2) x 2 = 8 |
2 | 3 | (2 + 3) x 2 = 10 |
3 | 3 | (3 + 3) x 2 = 12 |
3 | 4 | (3 + 4) x 2 = 14 |

Additional classification criterion – aptitude test
If the programme specifies special aptitudes, skills or psychophysical abilities, a Short-Cycle Higher Collage may set these as a criterion, subject to the admissions cap indicated in the information published by each institution.
The test of aptitude, skills or psychophysical ability may not exceed 40% of the total sum of the points that the candidate may achieve in accordance with the preceding paragraph.
The corrected points are calculated using the following equation:
Points = (1 – f) x P + f x 4 x S
and rounded to the nearest whole number, where:
f – test factor (to be specified by the school in the call for applications);
P – number of points achieved (up to 20);
S – score obtained by the candidate in the examination (up to 5).
Example: The candidate scored 14 points (matura grade and the grades in the final and penultimate years), obtained a 5 in the aptitude test and the institution specified in the call for applications that the test should account for 40% (f = 0.4).
Points = (1 – 0.4) x 14 + 0.4 x 4 x 5 = 16.4 –> Rounded to 16 points.
For the purpose of admission to the programme at the institution for which the aptitude test was taken, the candidate will be awarded 16 points rather than 14 points.
